Lucas Govert has a diverse work experience that includes roles in the biotechnology and healthcare industries, as well as environmental conservation and public service.

Lucas started their career as an Invasive Species Removal Crew member for the Town of Frye Island's Public Works department in 2015. Lucas also worked as a Crew member for the Frye Island Ferry Service, serving as a deckhand and ticketing agent during the summer seasons from 2015 to 2016.

At Lonza, they served as a Biotechnology Manufacturing Associate II, responsible for manufacturing therapeutic proteins under cGMP conditions. Lucas was an early team member at an mRNA production facility contracted for Covid-19 vaccine production. Lucas also demonstrated a strong understanding of cGMP compliance and technical writing skills.

At Homology Medicines, Inc., Lucas worked as a Research Associate and Manufacturing Technician II. Lucas'sresponsibilities included conducting research and assisting in manufacturing operations.

Currently, Lucas is working as an Associate Scientist II at EnPlusOne Biosciences, focusing on scientific research and development.

Lucas Govert attended the University of Maine from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Ecology & Environmental Science.
