Isabel Wang

Associate Scientist II at Amyris

Isabel Wang has had a varied work experience, beginning with their role as Sales Manager at White Plains Orchids in 2017. Isabel then moved to UC Santa Barbara in 2015, where they held two roles - Culturist and Research Assistant - studying the Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis fungus and its relation to its host, the African clawed frog. In 2018, they joined Lygos as a Research Associate, where they were responsible for constructing DNA cassettes, transforming engineered strains, and running experiments to assess the performance of new engineered strains. In 2020, they moved to Zymergen as a Research Associate II - Genome Engineering, and is currently working as an Associate Scientist II at Amyris since 2022.

Isabel Wang completed their Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara in 2017. Isabel attended UC Santa Barbara from 2013 to 2017.
