Alethea S. has been working in the field of editing and writing since 1992. Alethea has held various roles, including Writer, Owner, Senior Editor and Writer at BeCreative Communications, Senior Editor and past Editorial Director at Entangled Publishing, Copyeditor at the University of Toronto Press, Managing Editor at MDR Public Affairs Ltd., Editor/Managing Editor at MediaEdge Communications, Senior Editor at Scotiabank, and Managing Editor at Benefits Canada. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Content Editor at Pedestal Search and Citizen Team Member at Republix.

Alethea S. began their education in 1992 when they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan. In 1997 they obtained a Graphic Design Certificate from the Academy of Learning, and in 1999 they obtained a Honours Certificate in Book and Magazine Publishing from Centennial College. In 2004 they obtained an Honours Post-Grad Certificate in Creative Writing from Humber College. In 2015 they attended the University of Iowa for Creative Nonfiction Writing. In 2017 they obtained a Certificate in Content Strategy for Professionals from Northwestern University, and also obtained a certification in Content Strategy for Professionals: Managing Content. In 2018 they obtained a Cannabis Industry Specialization in Medical Cannabis Fundamentals for Business Professionals from Durham College. Alethea S. is currently attending York University and is expected to obtain a Cinema and Media Studies - BFA (Hons) in Screenwriting by 2024.
