Dane Balia

Dane Balia has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dane is currently working as a Software Team Lead at Entelect since March 2022. Previously, they held the position of Software Development Team Lead at Alpha International from April 2021 to August 2022. Dane also worked as a Software Development Manager at Sourcing - Monitoring as a Service (MaaS) from June 2018 to April 2021. Prior to that, they were a Software Developer at Hetzner from September 2014 to March 2018. Dane started their career as a Programmer at Senwes in June 2013 and worked there until September 2014. Dane also has experience as a Development Manager at Sourcing - Monitoring as a Service (MaaS) from January 2005 to June 2013. Before that, they worked as a Programming Analyst at LogicaCMG from January 2003 to December 2004 and as a Systems Engineer at Face Technologies from January 2003 to December 2003. Dane's earliest role was as a Network Security Administrator at Imperial Online from January 2001 to February 2002. Dane'swork experience includes roles ranging from team management, software development, project lead, systems administration, and network support.

Dane Balia holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Information Technology and Business Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, which was obtained from 1997 to 2001. In 2011, Dane completed a Bachelor's Degree in Bible from The Bible Doctrine Institute. Later in 2015, Dane attended the University of California, Berkeley, to study CS169-1x Software Engineering as a Service in the field of Computer Science. Dane also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, starting in 2010. Additionally, Dane has obtained various certifications, including "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "UX Masterclass." Dane also holds certifications in LPIC2 - Linux Engineer and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer.
