Catherine Southard-Neal

Catherine Southard-Neal has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Catherine began their career in 2006 as a Laboratory Manager in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Chicago and subsequently worked as a Database Manager and Analyst in the Department of Psychiatry at UChicago Medicine. In 2009, they joined RMS, where they held various roles, including Analyst - Product Manager, Life & Health Solutions, Senior Product Manager, and Director of Software Development. During their time at RMS, they contributed to the development of multiple software products and managed scrum teams. In 2018, they transitioned to Mesosphere and D2iQ, where they were a Director of Engineering and later became a Senior Director of Product and Engineering. In 2023, they joined EDB as the Vice President of Product Operations.

Catherine Southard-Neal earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from the University of California, Davis in 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, which they completed in 2009. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "Leading Operational Excellence" from MIT Sloan Executive Education and as a "Certified ScrumMaster" from Scrum Alliance.
