Charles Nguyen has a diverse work experience across various companies. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Fenwick Library Fellowship, collecting information for a research project. Charles then served as a Lead Defense Travel Administrator at BAI Inc. In 2010, Charles joined Law & Society Review as an Assistant Editor. Charles later became a Graduate Research Fellow at the East-West Center from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. From 2014 to 2016, Charles worked as a Lead Instructor at Dev League. Charles then joined UCode as a Senior Coding Instructor from 2016 to 2017. Charles also worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Synacor from 2017 to 2019, where they built and improved software using various technologies. In 2017, they also started working as an Instructor at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, where they continue to work. Most recently, Charles has been working as a Senior User Interface Engineer and Principal Software Engineer at Entertainment Partners since 2020, leading teams and building applications for payroll services.

Charles Nguyen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at William & Mary from 2000 to 2004. Charles then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Sociology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2009 to 2011. Later, from 2011 to 2014, Charles attended the East-West Center to further their studies in Sociology, although they did not complete a specific degree during this period.
