Tim Preston

Tim Preston is an experienced engineering manager and software developer with a diverse background in leading teams and delivering innovative software solutions. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager at Envato since May 2019, Tim has successfully managed stakeholder requirements while coaching engineers to advance their careers. As President of Carolus Software, Tim launched a payments app that processed $10 million in its first two years. A recognized expert in software architecture, Tim has extensive experience in developing logistics SaaS products and delivering professional development programs for technical staff. Tim's earlier roles include Lead Software Developer at SweetHawk, Senior Technical Consultant in Singapore, and various positions in web development and programming at organizations such as the Australian Medical Council and Australian National University. Tim holds a Master’s in Software Engineering from The Australian National University and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology from the University of Canberra.
