Dru Sexton - Ms

Dru Sexton has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Currently, they are the Director of Geospatial Mapping and Data at Environmental Design Group. Before that, they worked as a Program Manager for GIS & Project Support at Ohio University. They also served as the President of Mapped Out - GIS Services, where they actively contributed to the company from 2019 to 2022.

Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Dru was a GIS Specialist at Buckeye Hills Regional Council for nearly 7 years, where they handled various GIS duties to support state and federal grant programs in underserved communities. They also worked as a GIS Quality Control Technician at CACI International Inc, ensuring that map products met client specifications and criteria.

Furthermore, Dru started their career as a Journalist at The BG News, where they covered a wide range of stories and conducted interviews with notable figures. Overall, Dru Sexton's work experience reflects their expertise in geospatial mapping, project management, and journalism.

Dru Sexton has a strong educational background in geography and geographic information science. In 2004, Dru obtained a high school diploma from Brookside High School. Later, from 2006 to 2009, Dru attended Bowling Green State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography. In June 2015, Dru obtained the Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). To further enhance their expertise, from 2015 to 2016, Dru pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education.
