Kyia Leeper

Coordinator, Measuring Impact II at Environmental Incentives

As a Project Associate, Kyia provides field support to the USAID Measuring Impact II project and cross mission learning frameworks. She brings a background in environmental studies and experience in strategic communications, conservation planning, data collection and analysis, and experience using the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation.

Prior to joining Environmental Incentives, Kyia interned with a Wisconsin-based land trust to develop a strategic conservation plan to prioritize land protection and management efforts in the driftless region of southwest Wisconsin. She also worked with a team to develop a conservation management plan for the Pepin County Land Conservation Planning Department of Wisconsin to improve the health of the Fall Creek Watershed.

Kyia aspires to bridge the gap between research and implementation through fostering interdisciplinary partnerships and integrating evidence-based approaches across conservation initiatives. She believes that working collaboratively to build capacity and cross-cultural learning will create long-term sustainable solutions in biodiversity and habitat conservation.
