Water Resources Engineer at Environmental Science Associates

Alaina Floor, PE has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and research. Alaina started their career as a Research Assistant at Oregon State University in 2015, where they gained knowledge and skills in performing various lab techniques and DNA extraction from plant samples. Alaina then worked as a Student Trainee at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and as an Engineering Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where they conducted field measurements and created computer models for water movement in green roof experiments. In 2017, Alaina joined Quantum Spatial as an Engineering Intern, responsible for processing LIDAR data using GIS mapping software. Alaina later worked as a Civil Engineering Designer at AKS Engineering and Forestry, where they utilized their skills in design and planning. Currently, Alaina holds the position of Water Resources Engineer at Environmental Science Associates, contributing their expertise in water resource management.

Alaina Floor, PE obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecological Engineering from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their degree, they have achieved various certifications including being a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed by the State of Oregon since January 2022. Alaina also holds certifications as a Certified Erosion, Sediment Control Lead obtained from WSDOE SMMEW in April 2020 and as a Wetland Professional in Training (PWS) earned through the Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program in June 2019. Prior to becoming a licensed engineer, they obtained their Engineer in Training (EIT) status for the State of Oregon in May 2017.
