Colleen Kroe

Colleen Kroe's work experience starts with their current role as a Principal Biologist at Environmental Science Associates, which they began in December 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Environmental Scientist at King County, WA from October 2016 to December 2020. Before that, they were a Senior Wetland Ecologist at Shockey Planning Group from June 2015 to October 2016. Colleen also held the position of Senior Wetland Ecologist at 48 North Solutions, Inc. from June 2015 to December 2015. Colleen has previous experience with the Washington State Department of Transportation, where they worked as an Assistant Biology Program Manager from November 2008 to October 2010, a Biologist/Project Manager from September 2003 to November 2008, and an Environmental Permit Specialist from February 2002 to September 2003. Colleen started their career as an Environmental Scientist at Herrera Environmental Consultants from September 2001 to February 2002. Colleen has a strong background in wetland and stream management, environmental permitting, project management, and biology documentation.

Colleen Kroe's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Bellevue College for general studies. Colleen later transferred to The Evergreen State College where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Marine Ecology, completing it in 1995. In 1999, Colleen studied Wetland Science and Management at the University of Washington, earning a certification. Colleen then obtained their Master of Science degree in Ecology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) between 2013 and 2016. Colleen also holds a Professional Wetland Scientist certification from the Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program, which they obtained in September 2007.
