Robert D. Woithe, Ph.D. SPWS has an extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Robert D. started their career at the University of Florida as a Research Assistant, where they worked at the Center for Wetlands and later at the Center for Environmental Policy. Robert D. then moved on to work as an Environmental Scientist at WilsonMiller.

In 1998, Woithe joined PBS&J as a Senior Scientist, where they managed various projects related to environmental monitoring and natural resource damage assessment. Robert D. later became the Monitoring & Data Analysis Group Manager at PBS&J, overseeing a team of six scientists and leading projects in estuarine, wetland, terrestrial, and marine ecosystems.

In 2000, Woithe transitioned to the role of Project Manager at PBS&J, where they continued to work on environmental monitoring and assessment projects. In 2004, they became the Associate Vice President, National Environmental Services Division Manager, and Tampa Office Leader at Atkins, where they managed a 300-person office and led project deliveries for water resources and public environmental clients nationwide.

After six years at Atkins, Woithe joined VHB in 2016 as the Gulf Coast Environmental Services Leader, where they transformed a 10-person team into a successful unit serving clients in the southeast U.S. Robert D. also managed a $3 million annual operational budget and oversaw various projects related to environmental monitoring, permitting, and conservation evaluation.

Most recently, Woithe joined Environmental Science Associates in 2020 as a Principal Scientist, where they continue to contribute their expertise in environmental science.

Throughout their career, Woithe has demonstrated exceptional skills in project management, team leadership, resource management, finance, and business development. Robert D. has been involved in a wide range of environmental projects, focusing on water quality, habitat restoration, and natural resource management.

Robert D. Woithe, Ph.D. SPWS has a strong educational background in the field of environmental science and engineering. Robert D. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Middlebury College from 1984 to 1988. Robert D. then pursued further education at the University of Florida, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Systems Ecology & Environmental Science specializing in Environmental Engineering Sciences from 1989 to 1992. Continuing their studies at the same institution, Robert earned their Ph.D. in Systems Ecology & Environmental Science, also focusing on Environmental Engineering Sciences, from 1992 to 1994.

In addition to their academic achievements, Robert has acquired certification as a Senior Professional Wetland Scientist from the Society of Wetland Scientists in 1998. Robert D. also holds the title of Certified Senior Ecologist granted by the Ecological Society of America in 1997.
