Emily Howman

Emily Howman has a diverse background in the healthcare industry. Emily is currently working at Envision Pharma Group as the Executive Vice President of Scientific Strategy, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this role, Emily was a Senior Medical Strategy Lead and then a Medical Strategy Lead at the same company from 2021 to 2023.

In 2021, Emily also took on a role as a Focus Area Working Group member at the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS), where they focused on Medical Strategy & Launch Excellence.

Before joining Envision Pharma Group and MAPS, Emily served as the Head of Scientific Services at Bedrock Healthcare Communications from 2019 to 2020.

Emily has extensive consulting experience as a Freelance Consultant, specializing in medical strategy and communications, particularly in the field of oncology and hematology. Emily held this role from 2012 to 2019.

Emily also has research experience as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2002.

Emily Howman completed their Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Otago in 1995, specializing in Hematology and Cytogenetics. Emily then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2000.
