Yfke Hager

Yfke Hager has an extensive work experience in various roles within the scientific and medical communication field. Yfke is currently serving as the Senior Portfolio Director & Team Lead in Scientific at Envision Pharma Group since April 2021. Previously, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Strategic Programme Director at 2TN (2 the Nth). Before that, from 2014 to 2019, they held the position of Scientific Director at Gardiner-Caldwell Communications. Yfke also worked as a Principal Medical Writer at Articulate Science from 2013 to 2014 and as a Medical Communications Scientist at AstraZeneca from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they held various roles at Gardiner-Caldwell Communications, including Senior Medical Writer, Medical Writer, and Associate Medical Writer, from 2005 to 2011. Yfke's early career involved working as the News and Views Editor at the Journal of Experimental Biology and as a Press Officer at the Society of Experimental Biology in 2004.

Yfke Hager began their education at Hong Kong International School in 1986 and attended until 1987. Yfke then moved to International School Bangkok from 1988 to 1990. Yfke later studied at International Secondary School Eindhoven from 1990 to 1997, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. Yfke then enrolled in the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from 1997 to 2000. Continuing their education at the same institution, Yfke pursued a doctoral degree in Natural Sciences, specializing in Zoology, from 2000 to 2004.
