The Sr. Principal Engineer System Integration Staff Scientist is part of EOS’s Advance Design Group reporting to the Head of AC integration, that supports both existing and future product development.  The core focus is to provide guidance to the engineering team in system development, testing, and integration of new technology and define the technology roadmap.   The position also supports the CTO directly in system and aircraft level studies that provide new functionality to the aircraft.  In this position the System Integration Staff Scientist will also collaborate directly with the engineering development team to mature the various systems including flight controls, flight deck, and more electric operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Teaming: Collaborate with the functional engineering leadership to define the new technology system architectures, interfaces, and requirements.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams across systems to ensure cohesive system integration to meet aircraft requirements.

  • Mature the system's efinition through each program gate and directly support the aircraft configuration change board.

  • Support the CTO in the development of new technologies, products, and technology roadmaps.

  • Represent the company in technical and policy committees.

  • Support the various aircraft system trade studies.

Qualifications:  

  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years in aerospace engineering, with at least 10 years in an engineering leadership role focused on system enabling technology development and implementation.

  • Expertise: Extensive knowledge in general aircraft sizing and aircraft systems technology and their integration, including avionics, electrical, propulsion, flight controls, and mechanical systems.

  • Leadership: Exceptional team leadership and project management skills, with a history of managing multiple projects at the same time.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges in aircraft integration.

  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with internal engineering and other team members, partners, and suppliers.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in  Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and associated markings
