The Role: Director of Software Engineering

This full-time position directs and oversees the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications to support EOS Worldwide (EOSW) internal and external facing business requirements. Establishes policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services.

Leads the Software Development Department. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the department and develops policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. This role will have duties relevant to our EOS One (our SAAS product), including planning, building, releases, and QA.

This position will report directly to EOS Worldwide’s Technology Leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of modern, cloud-based development and testing practices

  • Experience with software development delivery methods (Waterfall, Agile) and tools

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must share EOS Worldwide’s Vision and Core Values
  • 5+ years of managerial experience, including the build-out of a development team to include staffing, training, evaluation, supervision, budget, and process
  • Bachelor’s Degree (post-grad degree or extensive experience preferred)
  • 5+ years leading large-scale application development initiatives
  • 5+ years of public cloud experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
  • Management experience, including building and overseeing a development team that may include roles including full stack developers, quality assurance, Scrum roles

Location:  Work from home position with occasional work travel and on-site collaborative meetings as needed in SE Michigan

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Compensation:  $160,000 to $180,000 base salary commensurate with experience, plus the potential for a performance-based bonus in addition to health benefits, life insurance, tech stipend, 401k match, flex-time, PTO, holidays and more
