Muhammad Shafie Bin Jaafar has extensive work experience in the field of safety and health. Muhammad Shafie'smost recent position is as a Safety & Health Officer/PTW Coordinator at E&P O&M Services Sdn Bhd (EPOMS), where they are responsible for safety and health coordination for the Operation & Maintenance project at Berantai Field. Prior to that, they worked as a Safety & Health Officer at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), overseeing the INTEL Microelectronics project. Muhammad Shafie also had several roles at Sapura Energy Berhad, including Safety & Health Officer/PTW Coordinator for various projects in Brunei and a role as a Safety & Health Officer/Marine Safety. Muhammad Shafie Bin Jaafar completed their Diploma in Civil Engineering at Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Kuantan, Pahang in 2011. In the same year, they also attended Universiti Malaysia Pahang for Occupational Safety and Health Officer studies.

Muhammad Shafie also completed Supervising for Safety (SFS) and BSP E-Kawal Card courses offered by Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. Sdn. Bhd. In the same year, they obtained the Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) certification from the Department Of Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia.

Continuing their professional development, Muhammad Shafie Bin Jaafar acquired several certifications in 2023. These include the International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) certificate from OPITO and the Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate from Berkat OSH Services Sdn Bhd.
