Karim Kassam P.Eng has extensive experience in the field of utilities and infrastructure development. Karim is currently working as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at EPCOR Utilities Inc., where they oversee the company's market development and investment initiatives in Canada and the United States. Their responsibilities include acquiring energy-related utilities and developing water and renewable infrastructure projects in Ontario.

Prior to their current role, Karim held various positions at EPCOR Utilities Inc., including Vice President of Business Development USA, Vice President of Development, and General Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and acquiring energy and water investment projects in British Columbia and the US West. Karim successfully participated in competitive energy and water infrastructure procurement processes and played a key role in creating a water market for EPCOR in British Columbia.

Before joining EPCOR, Karim worked as an Infrastructure Coordinator at AKDN - Industrial Promotion Services (IPS). In this role, they established a new Infrastructure Projects Investment Division for Eastern Africa, focusing on energy, telecommunications, and water-related infrastructure assets.

Karim's career started at the City of Edmonton - Public Works Department, where they served as the Chief Engineer of Water Treatment Plants Engineering and Operations Manager of the E.L. Smith Water Treatment Plant.

Throughout their career, Karim Kassam P.Eng has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills in the utilities and infrastructure development sectors.

Karim Kassam P.Eng completed a Certification in the Advanced Management Program at Henley Business School in 2008. In 1982, they obtained a B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, followed by an M. Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the same institution in 1988.
