Ignacio Corro has worked in a variety of engineering roles since 2011. From 2011 to 2017 they worked at UTN Buenos Aires as an Ayudante de catedra and Proyectos de investigación en Laboratorio de Máquinas Térmicas. In 2016 and 2017 they were an Ingeniero de producto neumático radial auto and Ingeniero de producto neumático radial camioneta at FATE SAICI. Their duties included designing and calculating radial tires for automobiles, coordinating assembly and vulcanization tests of experimental tires, and developing and modifying electromechanical equipment. From 2012 to 2019 they worked at CITEDEF as a Proyectista, where they were responsible for structural and thermal calculations and mechanical design. Since 2019 they have been a Structures Engineer at EPIC AEROSPACE, where they design, analyzes and works with partners to manufacture structural components for suborbital and orbital launch-vehicles. Ignacio focuses on reducing weight and tracing a path to space-level safety margins by designing and optimizing 3D components in both CAD and FEM. Ignacio also nurtures strategic partners and suppliers to be able to manufacture them, with a focus on propellant tank design and manufacturing, as well as composite structure modeling and general sizing.
Ignacio Corro attended the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional from 2007 to 2015, where they earned a degree in Ingeniería with a field of study in Ingeniería mecánica.
