Daniel Laplaza

Daniel Laplaza is an experienced professional in community engagement and media production, currently serving as the Engagement, Audiences & Communities Manager at Epicenter NYC since October 2021. In this role, Daniel develops strategies to educate New Yorkers on critical issues such as COVID-19, food insecurity, and housing rights, while building partnerships with local newsrooms and organizations. Previously, Daniel worked as a Community Engagement Producer at THE CITY NY, where contributions included developing collaborative local news initiatives and producing community-driven discussions. Daniel's background also features positions in public relations and media relations, with a strong foundation in journalism, holding a Master's degree from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor's degree from Boston University.
