Micah T. Webster, Ph.D. has over 15 years of experience in a variety of roles. In 2002, they were a Lab TA at Bates College and an Island Engineer at Star Island Corporation, where they developed basic electrical and plumbing skills, as well as fire prevention and emergency preparedness. In 2003, they were a Laboratory Technician at Massachusetts General Hospital, where they developed RT-PCR based assays and performed DNA and RNA isolation. In 2005, they were a Graduate Student at the National Institutes of Health, where they designed and performed a synthetic lethal genetic screen to identify genes regulating nuclear morphology. In 2006, they were a Lab TA at Johns Hopkins University. From 2011-2016, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Carnegie Institution for Science, where they innovated in vivo and in vitro models of muscle regeneration in mice and developed a 3D time-lapse intravital microscopy platform. Since 2016, they have been at Scholar Rock, where they have held roles as Associate Director, Senior Scientist II, and Senior Scientist I. In their most recent role, they are the Director of Translational Sciences at Epirium.
Micah T. Webster earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University in 2011, after receiving a BA in Biology with a secondary concentration in Anthropology from Bates College in 2002.
