Christopher Bass has a diverse work experience in tax matters, with a focus on M&A transactions. Christopher began their career as an Attorney-Advisor at the Internal Revenue Service from 1998 to 2005. Christopher then worked as an Associate at Dow Lohnes PLLC from 2005 to 2008, where they primarily focused on federal tax planning and transactional tax. From 2008 to 2012, Christopher worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice at KPMG, providing tax advice on proposed transactions and conducting due diligence projects. Christopher then joined FedEx as a Manager Tax Special Projects from 2012 to 2014, overseeing tax planning activities for corporate acquisitions and dispositions. From 2014 to 2018, Christopher worked as the General Tax Counsel - the Americas for Ericsson, responsible for legal operations across 40 countries and leading tax matters for acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations. Currently, they serve as the Vice President and General Tax Counsel for Epiroc since 2017, where they spearhead tax matters across North America and collaborates with various teams on M&A transactions.

Christopher Bass earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992. Christopher then obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Duke University School of Law between 1994 and 1997. Later, they completed their education with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Tax Law/Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center from 1999 to 2002.
