Ashfaq Ali

Ashfaq Ali is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in bioinformatics and systems medicine. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant in Data Science at Epista Life Science since October 2023, Ashfaq previously held the position of Senior Data Scientist at AstraZeneca and worked as a Bioinformatician at both NBIS and the Department of Immunotechnology at Lunds University. Ashfaq's academic journey culminated in a PhD in Molecular Biology from Lund University, complemented by a Master of Science in the same field and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of the Punjab. Notable earlier roles include postdoctoral work at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, focused on metabolomics and systems biology, and experience as a Quality Control Microbiologist at AZ Pharmaceutical Co.
