Rai A. de Jesus

Rai A. De Jesus, MBA, CPSM has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning across various companies and roles. They are currently serving as the Chief Procurement Officer at ePLDT since July 2023, and previously held the role of Senior Procurement Advisor from June 2022 to July 2023. Prior to that, Rai served as the Vice President & Head of Procurement at PLDT starting from August 2021, and is currently holding the position. Before that, they were the Vice President & Head of IT Procurement at PLDT from August 2021 to September 2023.

Rai has also contributed to the field of Supply Chain Management as a University Professor of Logistics & Procurement at the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM) since June 2015. They have also held significant roles at Citi, where they served as the Vice President & IT Procurement Group Head for Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe from August 2018 to July 2021. Rai played a vital role as the Supplier Diversity & Sustainability Regional Head from January 2018 to December 2019 and as the Vice President & Asia Pacific (APAC) IT Procurement Head from September 2015 to August 2018. They started their journey at Citi as the AVP & Asia Pacific (APAC) IT Procurement Manager from August 2013 to September 2015.

Furthermore, Rai gained valuable experience at Accenture as the IT Procurement Category Manager & Procure to Pay (P2P) Manager from May 2012 to August 2013, and as the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Operations Lead from October 2010 to May 2012. Prior to that, they worked at Emerson as a Senior Procurement Specialist from August 2007 to October 2010. Rai's early career started at Toyota Motor Corporation as a Buyer & Supply Chain Risk Analyst from August 2005 to August 2007.

Rai A. De Jesus, MBA, CPSM has an extensive education background, focusing on management, procurement, and supply chain management. In 2005, Rai completed a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with a major in Production Management from Mapúa University. Following this, Rai pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management at De La Salle University from 2009 to 2012.

In 2017, Rai attended the Asian Institute of Management for the Management Development Program, a specialized executive education for CEOs and General Managers. Rai's dedication to education continued in 2021 when they enrolled in Michigan State University's Master in Advanced Procurement Management program, emphasizing Global Supply Chain Management.

Additionally, Rai has acquired various certifications, including being a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management. They were also awarded the Certified in Global Business Services (CGBS) designation by The Hackett Group in 2020. Furthermore, Rai holds an International Diploma in Supply Chain Management from the International Trade Centre, obtained in 2013.

Rai's commitment to professional development is evident through their completion of the Future Leaders Program (FLP) at PLDT, Leadership Development Program (LDP) at Accenture, and Talent Acceleration Program (TAP) at Citi. They have also received several accolades, such as the Gawad Sinop - Excellence in Procurement Award by the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM) and the Global Supply Chain Leader Award from the IEOM Society International, both earned in 2023. They have also been recognized with the Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CSSYB) designation by Emerson in 2008 and the Best Data Center Procurement Award in APAC by W.Media - Global.
