Summer Tan

Summer Tan has a wealth of work experience. From 2011 to 2022, they have worked at Orbis Institute, Woodpecker International Education, Mindfulness Foundation, Sunrise International, Canva, Branch Politics, and Eppo.

At Orbis Institute, Summer was a Program Coordinator from 2011 to 2012, responsible for translating and serving as a local adviser for the campers (college students from America and Slovakia) for the duration of the camp.

From 2013 to 2014, Summer worked at Woodpecker International Education as a Curriculum Developer/Instructor and at Mindfulness Foundation as an Intern.

From 2015 to 2019, Summer worked at Sunrise International as an International Business Development Manager. In this role, they managed a team responsible for six projects in different industries including education, tourism, and virtual reality, drove all international B2B sales and supervised the process of post-sales execution, and developed new products and lead market research.

From 2019 to 2022, Summer worked at Canva as an Education Product Manager and an Enterprise Product Marketing. In their role as Education Product Manager, they led the China local market product launch for the new education product. As an Enterprise Product Marketing, they worked in the Enterprise Team at Canva China to promote and generate leads for the B2B facing product, Canva for Enterprise.

Most recently, Summer has been working at Eppo and Branch Politics as a Product Designer. At Branch Politics, Summer worked directly with the co-founder to strategize design projects to meet product growth and engagement goals, while improving the experience of how people participate in politics and local elections.

Summer Tan obtained a BA in Business English from Sias University between 2009 and 2013. In June 2022, they obtained certifications from Microsoft's Reach Design Mentoring Program and Designlab's UX Academy. In January 2022, they obtained a certification from Designlab's UX Foundations.
