Mark Pinson

Mark Pinson has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Mark currently holds the position of VP of Software Engineering at Eptura, where they oversee the software engineering team. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Engineering at the same company, where they led a team of over 40 managers and engineers. Mark was responsible for products generating annual revenue of $50 million and achieving 30% year-over-year growth. During their tenure, Eptura was successfully acquired by Toma Bravo. Mark also implemented SOC2 compliant processes and helped pass a SOC2 audit.

Before joining Eptura, Mark owned their own company, Pinson LLC, starting in 2017. Mark also co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer at Tech9 from 2015 to 2017. During this time, they built a distributed engineering organization and established core office functions in India.

Mark's earlier experience includes roles at Orange Soda as a Software Development Director, Symantec as a Software Development Manager and Principal Software Engineer, Mozenda, Inc. as a Senior Software Developer, Adobe Systems as a Computer Scientist, Omniture as a Senior Software Developer, Symantec Inc. as a Software Development Manager, and Altiris as a Software Development Manager and Software Engineer.

Mark Pinson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at California State University, Northridge between 1999 and 2003. Mark then pursued graduate courses, but did not obtain a degree, in the field of Computer Science at Brigham Young University from 2004 to 2008.
