Feras Shamashan

Feras Shamashan has a diverse work experience that spans from 2009 to the present. Feras currently works at Equal Experts as a Software Developer, where they design and implements data processing solutions using Python, Java, and Spark. Prior to that, they worked at CJC Ltd as a Java Backend Developer, where they utilized Kafka, Java Spring Boot, and Influx DB to transform financial market data into human-readable information. Feras has also worked at Coriel Ltd as a Software Developer, where they worked on legacy systems, developed mobile apps and web interfaces, and implemented REST APIs using various programming languages and tools such as C++, Java, NodeJS, Python, Ruby on Rails, Docker, Jenkins, and AWS. Before working at Coriel Ltd, Feras had a role as a Student Ambassador and IT Support Tutor at the University of Nottingham. Feras also worked as an Administrative Assistant at the university, where they assisted the admissions team. Additionally, Feras has experience working as a DMP Analyst at the Bank of England, where they recruited Finance Directors and analyzed data related to the effects of a post-Brexit economy. Earlier in their career, Feras worked as a Graphic Designer at Shokal Group and Sham for printing, where they designed brands, logos, and graphics for various clients.

Feras Shamashan completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Nottingham from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Foundation Engineering and Physical Sciences degree at the same university from 2016 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Feras obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in February 2022.
