Jackie Sonnenberg

Jackie Sonnenberg has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in human resources and recruitment. Jackie is currently working as an Employee Experience Manager at Equal Experts since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Technical Recruiter at takealot.com from September 2019 to May 2021.

Before joining takealot.com, Jackie was an Account Executive at Dexecon Consulting from July 2018 to September 2019. In this role, they provided IT services such as resourcing, training, implementations, and custom build applications.

From February 2017 to June 2018, Jackie worked at Alacrity Technologies as the Head of Augmentation Services and later as the Employee Engagement Manager in the Resource Augmentation Department. In these roles, they focused on employee engagement, performance management, talent retention, and implementing competency models.

Jackie's earlier experiences include working as an HR Manager at VOSS for a brief period in 2014, a Recruitment Manager at Alacrity in 2013, and an HR Business Partner at CSG International from March 2009 to May 2013.

Jackie also worked as a Recruitment Manager and Employee Relations Manager at Korbitec Inc. from September 2007 to March 2009, and as an HR Recruitment Consultant at Parvana for a short-term contract in August to September 2007.

Jackie started their career as a Recruitment Consultant at TSO Recruitment from February 2005 to July 2007. Jackie was responsible for managing temporary employees, conducting interviews and screenings, client liaison, and other recruitment activities. Jackie also played a role in TSO's Corporate Social Investment Program, training and placing learners in meaningful employment.

From 1995 to 1997, Jackie studied at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, where they earned a National Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Personnel Management.

In 2009, Jackie obtained a Human Resource Management Certificate from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, specializing in Human Resources Management and Personnel Administration.

In 2011, Jackie completed a Diversity Training course at First Facilitation.

Jackie received training in Employee Management from Ian Wheeler in 2008.

In the same year, Jackie also participated in a Conflict Management Workshop at JIT Learning Solutions under the guidance of Vanessa Witten.

Jackie attended a Senior Recruiter Training course at APSO in 2007, focusing on Competency Based Recruitment Skills.

In addition, Jackie completed the Thomas International Management Systems Accreditation Course at Thomas International in 2007.

In 2006, Jackie obtained an IPSC Accredited Examination certification from APSO.

Jackie also completed a course on Employing People with Disabilities at TSO Recruitment in 2006.
