Mary Kate Mitchell

Mary Kate Mitchell earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law, where she participated in the Cumberland Innocence Clinic, interned for the Jefferson County Family Court and volunteered with the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program. A native of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, she joined EJI in 2021.
