Sean Clayton

Sean Clayton has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Sean is currently the Head of Finance at the Equality and Human Rights Commission since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Department for Education where they held various roles, including Finance Business Partner, Cash & Estimates Team Leader, Delivery Manager, Head of Financial Accounting Programme Management Office, Head of Accounts Production, and Senior Financial Accountant from 2013 to 2022. Before joining the Department for Education, Sean worked as an Internal Audit Manager at Uniac from 2010 to 2012 and as an Assistant Audit Manager at the Natural History Museum in 2009. Sean also served as an Assignment Lead at the National Audit Office from 2004 to 2009.

Sean Clayton earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in Political Science from Trinity College Dublin, completing their studies from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their Irish Leaving Certificate from Newpark Comprehensive School in Blackrock, Co Dublin, Ireland, between 1987 and 1993.
