Jonathan Mather

Jonathan Mather is a co-founder and head of energy science at Equilibrium Energy since March 2021. Previously, Jonathan served as the energy optimization lead at Shell from May 2019 to March 2021 and as the market design lead at Electron, a blockchain systems company for the energy sector, from July 2018 to May 2019. Jonathan's experience also includes a role as an optimization engineer at Tesla, focusing on integrating large-scale energy storage into energy markets and developing price forecasting algorithms. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.
