Eddie Pettis

Eddie Pettis is a Senior Distinguished Engineer and Vice President of Physical Infrastructure in the Office of the CTO at Equinix, responsible for software architecture and global operations management of physical infrastructure since January 2024. Prior to this role, Eddie spent over 15 years at Google as a Senior Staff Software Engineer within the UTL Datacenter Software team, focusing on reliability for the Unified Fulfillment Optimization organization. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant position at Purdue University, emphasizing power management systems, and a New Product Development Internship at BEI Sensors and Systems involving FPGA and DSP design. Eddie earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Purdue University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
