Viraj Mehta

Viraj Mehta has demonstrated extensive experience in the financial industry. Viraj started their career as a Midcap Equity Analyst at Equirus Securities Private Limited and was recognized as the 3rd best Analyst for India by the Wall Street Journal in 2012. Viraj then joined Franklin Templeton Investments as an Equity Investment Analyst, where they advised the portfolio of Mid/Small cap schemes and was directly responsible for coverage on 40 companies. During their time at Franklin Templeton, the fund they worked on was awarded the best small cap mutual fund scheme in India by CRISIL & Business Standard. Following this, Viraj joined ValueQuest Capital LLP as an Investment Professional, where they were part of the team managing all investment decisions for the fund. The ValueQuest India Moat Fund was rated in the top 10% of funds operating in Asia in 2015 by Eurekahedge. Currently, Viraj is the Managing Director at Equirus, where they head the asset management business and is responsible for one of the best performing PMS in the country.

Viraj Mehta completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Nirma Institute of Technology between 2002 and 2006.
