Steve Sobell

Steve Sobell is an experienced finance and tax professional currently serving as Vice President of Tax at Equitrans Midstream Corporation since January 2019. Prior to this role, Steve held the position of Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Spectra Energy, where significant achievements included closing six transactions, most notably the merger with Enbridge, which formed the largest energy infrastructure company in North America. Steve also served as Vice President of Tax at Spectra Energy, managing tax strategies for a $26 billion multinational corporation with complex tax structures. Earlier in their career, Steve was General Manager at Duke Energy Corporation, and held tax associate roles at Moore and Van Allen, PLLC and Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School.
