Mr. McVay has over 34 years of experience in metallurgical and corrosion engineering and mechanical integrity programming. He has an extensive background and expertise in degradation mechanism determinations, risk-based inspection (API and PCC-3), fixed equipment detailed inspection planning, facility mechanical integrity program development, process industry material selection, welding engineering, pressure equipment fabrication/design/repair and project support, fixed equipment engineering specification development, FFS assessments, NDE testing for fabrication, quality systems review, and primary metallurgy production. Mr. McVay has been trained and held certifications as an AS9100 Quality Systems Auditor, Authorized Pressure Vessel and Boiler Inspector for California and the NBIC, and API 510 Inspector. In his long career, Mr. McVay has worked for an automotive parts foundry, a steel production facility, a primary design and fabrication engineering firm supporting navy nuclear plant fabrication, several oil refining companies, an aerospace raw material and fabricator auditing firm, and an international non-destructive testing company in various capacities, both engineering and management. He has directly supported oil and gas (upstream and refining), petrochem, agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, public utilities, aerospace, nuclear, terminals, commercial building refurbishment, and infrastructure.
