Annette Prater

Annette Prater currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Equity Residential, a position held since June 2024. Prior to this role, Annette was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Praterra Tech LLC, providing interim technology leadership and digital transformation services. From June 2016 to October 2023, Annette worked at Brookfield Asset Management as the Head of Innovation and Technology for Global Real Estate, where responsibility included overseeing innovation across a $250 billion real estate portfolio. Annette’s extensive experience also includes various leadership roles at JLL from 2005 to 2016, where work encompassed global product management, strategy, and technology solutions across multiple business units. Early career experience includes a position as a Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Annette holds an MBA in Management & Strategy and a B.S. in Accountancy from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, respectively.
