Kannan Narasimhan has a diverse work experience in multiple industries. Kannan started their career as a Product Engineering & Design Intern at TVS - SUNDARAM BRAKE LININGS in 2006. In this role, they implemented a machine vision system for the compressor unit cell and designed a perpendicular milling technique for HSL crankshafts.
In 2007, Kannan worked at Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy as a Thesis-Student Graduate. Kannan'sproject focused on analyzing a 3-degree of freedom planar parallel manipulator and designing an optimized parallel manipulator with minimum or zero singularities. Kannan also served as a Project Lead in marketing and infrastructure, effectively managing schedules and acting as a liaison between university management and sponsors.
From 2009 to 2010, Kannan worked at the University at Buffalo as an IT and Public Site Consultant and Six Sigma Black Belt. Kannan'sprimary objective was to implement a purchasing card for lower-value purchase orders and increase efficiency.
In 2010, they joined Saint-Gobain ADFORS as a Quality and WCM Manager. Kannan was responsible for implementing ISO 14001 and developing various process improvement projects. Kannan then moved on to become the Plant Manager at Saint-Gobain Mobility - Bearings in 2018 and later served as a Zone Manager.
Currently, Kannan is working at Saint-Gobain Mobility - Bearings as the Director of Operations since April 2022. Kannan'smain responsibilities include overseeing operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the company.
Kannan Narasimhan completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy in the years 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo between 2008 and 2010. In addition, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from the same university in 2009.
