Aya Sami is an experienced clinical orthoptist currently working at Erasmus MC since April 2016. Aya also serves as a PhD candidate and research orthoptist at Oogartsen Praktijk Delfland since July 2018, having previously held the role of associate editor for Strabismus journal from April 2016 to October 2017. Aya's research experience includes projects on pre-school vision screening at Erasmus MC and Icare Verpleging & Verzorging, and involvement in orthoptic tests research with GGD Amsterdam in 2013. Aya holds a Master of Science in Clinical Ophthalmology from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Orthoptics from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
