Solar Resources Assessment at ERG SpA

Sergio Romani has a diverse work experience in the field of renewable energy. Sergio worked as a Renewable Energy Engineer at ERG SpA starting from November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Renewable Energy Analyst at Ravano Power for the majority of 2022. Sergio also gained experience as an Innovation Engineer Intern at Terna SpA from September 2021 to February 2022. Before entering the workforce, they worked as a Graduate Research Fellow at West Virginia University, where they conducted research on SOFCs and SOECs. Finally, Sergio served as a Welcoming and Orientation Tutor at Università degli Studi di Genova from July 2018 to July 2019.

Sergio Romani's education history includes a variety of academic pursuits. From 2022 to 2024, Sergio studied at the Università degli Studi di Genova, completing a Laurea triennale in ingegneria elettrica (Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering). Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, Sergio attended the Politecnico di Torino, where they pursued a Corso di Master Universitario di 2° livello-CMU2 (Master's course in Climate Change: Adaptation and mitigation solutions).

Before joining the Politecnico di Torino, Sergio obtained a Laurea Magistrale LM in Ingegneria Meccanica (Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering) from the Università degli Studi di Genova, where they specialized in Macchine e sistemi per l'energia (Machines and systems for energy) from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, in 2020, Sergio completed a short-term course in Project Management at the Università degli Studi di Genova.

In terms of additional certifications, Sergio Romani has acquired various programming-related skills. In September 2020, Sergio obtained certificates from Coursera Certified Courses for completing the following programs: "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)," "Python Data Structures," "Python for Everybody Specialization," "Using Databases with Python," and "Using Python to Access Web Data." Furthermore, in January 2014, Sergio obtained the First Certificate in English (FCE) from Cambridge Assessment English.

Lastly, Sergio attended a Summer school at the Università degli Studi di Genova in 2021, focusing on Scienze politiche e governo (Political Science and Government).
