Joseph Izzo

Chief Of Medicine at Erie County Medical Center Corporation

Joseph Izzo has extensive experience in the medical field, with a focus on medicine, pharmacology, and toxicology. Joseph served as the Chief of Medicine at Erie County Medical Center starting from July 2005. Prior to that, they held the position of Professor of Medicine, Pharmacology, and Toxicology at State University of New York at Buffalo from January 1990. Joseph also served as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Millard Fillmore Hospitals from October 1988 to January 2000.

Joseph Izzo attended Princeton University from 1964 to 1968, where they earned an A.B. degree in Biochemistry. Joseph then enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University from 1968 to 1972 and obtained an M.D. degree. Following this, from 1972 to 1974, they attended Washington University in St. Louis as an Internal Medicine Resident. Finally, Joseph Izzo studied Experimental Therapeutics at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute from 1975 to 1979, although no specific degree was mentioned for this program.
