Eugene (Yijun) Pan

Eugene (Yijun) Pan has a long and varied work experience. Eugene (Yijun) began their career in 1999 as a Staff Scientist at Affymax, followed by a Postdoc position at the same company. In 2013, they moved to Novartis as a Research Investigator II. In 2014, they joined AnaSpec as Lead Scientist and Analytical/Purification Group Leader. In 2015, they began a role as a Sr. Scientist and Research Scientist at Gilead Sciences, where they were responsible for UPLC/HPLC method development, validation, and transfer to support manufacturing and processing activities. Eugene (Yijun) was also in charge of process- or stability-related impurity separation and identification using MS-guided prep HPLC, NMR, and HRMS for multiple clinical programs. In 2022, they began their current role as Director, Analytical Development, CMC at ESCAPE Bio.

Eugene (Yijun) Pan obtained their Ph.D. in Organic and Polymer Chemistry from Oklahoma State University between 1995 and 1999. Eugene (Yijun) also earned a Master of Science (MS) in Organic Chemistry from Hubei University between 1983 and 1986.
