Mark Kaufmann

Mark Kaufmann has 25 years of experience in biotechnology companies in the US and Canada. Mark began their career in 1993 as Director of Strategic Planning and Investor Relations for MedImmune, Inc. In 1999, they became the CFO of Conceptis Technologies. In 2001, they were VP of Corporate Development for Nexia Biotechnology. In 2003, they became CEO of Celmed Biosciences. In 2008, they were CEO and President of Allostera Pharma Inc. In 2010, they were President of Duet Biotech Consulting. From 2011 to 2020, they were Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer of Ardelyx, Inc. In 2021, they became Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer of ESCAPE Bio.

Mark Kaufmann received their Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Harvard University in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan in 1994.
