Sebastian Panakal

Sebastian Panakal serves as the Chairman of the GeoGebra Institute of Kerala, the first GeoGebra Institute established in India, since January 2010, overseeing the training and certification of teachers and the education of students ranging from primary to university levels in mathematics using GeoGebra. Additionally, since August 2009, Sebastian has been a promoter for Women of Wiki (WOW), organizing an e-Learners and e-Teachers Convention in Kerala. With a long-standing commitment to education, Sebastian has held the position of Principal at eSchool Kerala since December 2001, where initiatives focus on teacher development and the promotion of online learning. From January 2001, as Principal of eSchool, Sebastian has trained educators to become effective eTeachers, eLearners, and eReachers in the region. Earlier, from April 1999 to March 2001, Sebastian served as a Resident Futurist at the Atlas Institute in Dubai, where responsibilities included developing training programs and providing strategic consulting. Academic credentials include a B.Sc. in Physics from St. Albert's College and earlier studies in mathematics and sciences.
