Rick Plumadore

Rick Plumadore has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Rick currently holds the position of Director, Principal Security Strategists at eSentire since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Manager | Principal Security Strategist at the same company from October 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining eSentire, Rick worked at Cineplex Entertainment as a Director, IT Security (CISO) from April 2015 to October 2018. Rick was responsible for overseeing the organization's IT security operations during this time.

From 2009 to 2015, Rick worked as a Senior Security Consultant at First Atlantic Commerce, where they provided valuable insights and expertise in security matters.

Earlier in their career, Rick held various positions in the cybersecurity field. Rick worked as a Security Sales Engineer at Cenzic in 2007 and as a Security Consultant (CISO) at Toyota Canada Inc. from 2005 to 2007. Rick also served as a Network Security Analyst at BCE Emergis in 2004 and as a Security Analyst at Aviva from 2002 to 2004.

Rick Plumadore's notable certifications include MBA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, and CISA. Their vast experience and professional qualifications make him a highly skilled and accomplished cybersecurity professional.

Rick Plumadore completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Consulting, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Corporate Governance from the Australian Institute of Business between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Computer Networks Engineering Diploma from the RCC Institute of Technology in 1998.

In addition to their education, Rick Plumadore holds several certifications. Rick is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), obtained in April 2015 from (ISC)². Rick is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), obtained in August 2014 from ISACA. Furthermore, they hold the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) certification, obtained in February 2014, and the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification, obtained in October 2011, both from ISACA. Rick Plumadore has also earned additional certifications such as the OneTrust Certified Professional in April 2021 and the Certified Ransomware Specialist in March 2022, both from Proofpoint. Rick also holds the Proofpoint Certified Phishing Specialist certification, obtained in January 2023.
