David Guerin

David Guerin has over 15 years of work experience in the field of software engineering and architecture. David is currently working as a Lead Solution Architect at ESW since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at ESW as a Software Architect and Principal Software Engineer from 2018 until 2021. David was also a Senior Software Engineer at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt from 2015 to 2018, where they were responsible for creating a single identity solution for the company's customers. Before that, they worked as a Software Architect at Onestream Broadcasting Ltd from 2011 to 2017, where they developed a video streaming solution for desktop and mobile platforms. David also worked as a Software Engineer and Team Lead at Monford Ag Ltd from 2011 to 2013, where they designed and developed a grassland measuring solution for dairy farmers. Additionally, David has teaching experience as a Lecturer in Distributed and Cloud Systems at Dublin Institute of Technology in 2012 and as a Teaching Assistant and Lab Assistant in Robotics at Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2012. David started their career as a Network Engineer at Milne Computer Services in 2005 and also worked as a Test & Network Engineer at Cibenix from 2006 to 2008. David has a strong background in software engineering and architecture and has worked on various projects throughout their career.

David Guerin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their M.Sc in Computer Science (Networks & Distributed Systems) from Trinity College Dublin from 2008 to 2009. David also has a B.E. degree in Computer & Communications Engineering from Technological University Dublin from 2006 to 2008, and a B.Eng degree in Electronics & Computer Systems from the same university from 2003 to 2006.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, David Guerin has obtained multiple certifications, including being a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and a Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager, among others.
