Christoph Zehnpfennig

Christoph Zehnpfennig is a Policy and Data Officer at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) since October 2023, bringing extensive experience in data analysis and regulatory affairs within the financial sector. Previously, Christoph served as a Data Analyst at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in France, focusing on the supervision of market infrastructures and intermediaries under MIFID/MIFIR/EMIR regulations. Christoph has also worked as a Data Science & Strategy Consultant at Ekimetrics, a Regulatory Affairs Officer at Deutsche Börse, and contributed to research projects on sustainable finance at the ABI. Early roles include various internships involving data analysis and marketing within notable institutions. Christoph holds a Master of Science in Economics from HEC Liège and the University of Hohenheim, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The University of Bonn and the University of Toronto.
