Emma Smith

Emma Smith is a seasoned GIS consultant currently employed at Esri UK since January 2022, following diverse roles in the geographic information and environmental sectors. Previous positions include a GIS developer at Police Scotland and a scientist focused on flood risk data management at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. Emma has also worked as an applied scientist at the Met Office, developing specialized products for transportation industries. Early career experience includes serving as a sales assistant at Cotswold Outdoor. Emma holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Edinburgh, an MSc in Glaciology from Aberystwyth University, and another MSc in GIS from the University of Edinburgh.
