Adriaan Ter Horst

Adriaan ter Horst has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Adriaan started their career with an internship at Shell in 2002, where they gained experience in asset management lifecycle, asset maintenance, and process mapping. Adriaan then worked as a research scientist at APM Terminals (Maersk Group) for a brief period in 2006. Following that, Adriaan joined TNT PostNL as a Lean Six Sigma consultant in 2007. After this, they worked as a supply chain strategy & technology consultant at Deloitte Consulting from 2007 to 2010.

In 2011, Adriaan joined Macquarie Group, where they played a key role in procurement transformation until 2017. Adriaan then moved to EY, where they focused on digital transformation and intelligent automation for two years. Subsequently, they joined Accenture in 2019 as part of their digital transformation team.

Currently, Adriaan ter Horst holds the position of Head of Procurement at Essent since November 2023. Their experience includes expertise in procurement, digital transformation, intelligent automation, and supply chain strategy.

Adriaan ter Horst has a Master of Science degree in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland. Adriaan also holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Delft University of Technology, where they studied Mechanical Engineering and Transport & Logistics. Additionally, they have a certification in CPIM Production and Inventory Management from the APICS Supply Chain Council.
