Gabriel Guzman

Regional Sales Director, Mexico, Central America And Andean Community at Essentia Protein Solutions

Gabriel Guzman has an extensive work experience in the protein and food industry. Gabriel started their career as a Research Associate at the Food Protein R&D Center at Texas A&M University in 1988. After four years, they joined Nutrion as a Consultant in R&D. In 1994, Gabriel began working at both Essentia Protein Solutions and Proliant Meat Ingredients. At Essentia, they held various roles, including Regional Sales Director for Latin America and most recently, Regional Director for Central America. In these positions, they successfully expanded sales, introduced new products and applications, and managed a network of distributors. At Proliant Meat Ingredients, Gabriel served as the Sales Manager for Latin America and South Africa until 2015. Overall, Gabriel has demonstrated a strong expertise and leadership in the protein industry throughout their career.

Gabriel Guzman completed their Associate's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science from EAP Zamorano between 1976 and 1979. Gabriel then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from the University of Florida between 1980 and 1981. Following that, Gabriel furthered their education by enrolling in Iowa State University from 1981 to 1988, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Food Science and Technology.
