Mark began his career in marketing in 1985 when he worked for Space Cable as an unpaid intern writing news programs. When Space Cable was bought out by New York-based Cablevision Systems Inc. a year later, he parlayed his communication skills into selling cable TV advertising for the media company to local businesses. In 1990, he was instrumental in the formation, development, and success of Northern Ohio Interconnect, a joint sales partnership between Cablevision and all of the other cable companies throughout Northeastern Ohio. At NOI, Mark and his team sold their combined Cable TV Channel ad inventory to ad agencies and their regional and national clients.

Mark founded Cyrid Media in 2000 when Cablevision Systems Inc. was bought out by Adelphia Cable. As a result of calling on advertising agencies for many years while at NOI, Mark learned what clients really needed from a marketing firm. One by one, he began to build his relationships with his clients based on trust, a willingness to work hard, and a keen desire to build something better. A hallmark of his career has been a commitment to technological change. Mark saw early on how digital advertising was revolutionizing the business world. He realized Cyrid Media needed to have a strong digital ad offering if his company was going to remain relevant with advertisers. In 2012, he founded Essex Digital Platform, an advanced Digital Ad Solutions company to become Cyrid Media’s back-end digital ad support. EDP grew rapidly and has become the gold standard for marketers and business owners looking for a comprehensive approach to digital advertising.

On January 1, 2022, Essex Digital Platform merged into Cyrid Media. Today, clients with Cyrid Media can deploy traditional, digital, and social ad tactics to targeted audiences in an effort to maximize reach on all devices and mediums under one roof.
